Reviewed in the United States on September 20, I started this book during a road trip and thought I'd just read a little here and there. Boy was I wrong! Once I started it I couldn't put it down. I finished it in one afternoon, hardly raising my head to watch the scenery. I think the only times I paused was to read something out loud to my husband and say, "this woman is amazing! I laughed, I cried, I cheered, and when I was done I was determined to do something more with my testimony of Jesus Christ.
It changed the way I see the world, other fellow travelers on the path of life, and myself. I highlighted something on nearly every page of the book, including the introduction page, "Yes, I made mistakes, but I am not a mistake. Of this I have no doubt. I even went back and ordered 3 more copies to give away as gifts. This is one of those books I'll return to read over and over, that will be filled with highlights, notes in the margin, and dog eared pages.
As a motivational speaker for youth I can see myself referencing this book and Nikki's incredible story again and again. I highly recommend this book to anyone seeking a deeper, more personal relationship with Jesus Christ, no matter which Christian Faith you belong to. Top critical review. Reviewed in the United States on November 27, I didn't feel anything sincere about her story. I think she just traded a pole for a pulpit looking for attention.
She's since gone back to the stripper pole. One person found this helpful. Sort by. Top rated Most recent Top rated. Filter by. All reviewers Verified purchase only All reviewers. All stars 5 star only 4 star only 3 star only 2 star only 1 star only All positive All critical All stars.

The kind of love for others that we should all strive to have. One thing that I have struggled with being a member of the LDS church is the perception of perfection.
Everyone struggles, everyone has a past and often times those things aren't talked about and sadly, people are often judged. It's so wrong and so far from what the gospel of Jesus Christ is all about.
We are here to love and accept everyone. This book teaches that. Being our real, authentic, tarnished selves is a beautiful thing. Our past and our struggles do not have to divide or isolate us. If we allow it, they can bring us together and help us feel Christ's love for us. There was a problem loading comments right now. Showing 0 comments. Sort by: Newest Oldest. Nikki's story is raw heartbreaking yet beautiful. As a member of the church I have always struggled Witt feelings of inadequacy for living a more than flawed less than perfect life.
Nikki's story is raw heartbreaking yet beautiful, full of love peace and hope. I couldn't put this book down! It was wonderful!!! Well written, flowed eloquently and flawlessly. It doesn't matter if you are LDS or not this story is for you, it tells of the love of our Heavenly Father, the mission of his son and our Savior Jesus Christ. She brings the woman at the well into your home and makes the Atonment personal and real! Hopefully you'll read this book, to yourself children and every loved one that you can think of!
I love this book and I think you will be drawn to it, as I was, and won't be able to put it down. As I read Nikki's story, especially the hard parts, I just wanted to hug that precious little girl and tell her not to worry because I knew everything would turn out all right. And because I know her personally, I can tell you that it did turn out all right, and that she is a wonderful and amazing woman. It is such an uplifting book. I loved her use of language, and her writing style is perfect!
I just wanted to linger there and ponder her wonderful choice of wording and phrases. It is so beautifully written and is a book I enjoyed reading slowly to be sure not to miss anything and I was sad to have it end.
I know I will read it again and try to to memorize it and make it a part of me. I could not put this book down! A personal journey through life, faith, and conversion that inspired and uplifted me, even when facing the darkest days of her. I love her unique perspective and her courage to offer a different story of conversion and testimony than the stereotypical latter-day saint because so many of us of Christ's flock are not stereotypical and we are all flawed and fallen.
I am so encouraged by her courageFacing your life and your trials head on is HARD and even though we are admonished to do that, sometimes our pride or fears of judgement keep us from living authentically and embracing our path to the Savior.
This book made me cry and cheer. It gave me hope that even in the darkest places there is light. God is there. Waiting for us. I am so grateful to Nikki for sharing her story and taking the time to write this book to give others hope and courage.
To represent those who might want to hide away. They are not alone. It also helps those who may come from a different background understand and have empathy for others.
This book is a place where we can all meet as children of God. I wish I had half as much courage as she does but her example has made me bolder in sharing my testimony and relationship with Christ and I can't stop quoting her! I can not say anything but great things about this book. Nikki doesn't shy away from her past and doesn't hide her newfound faith and love of God. She tells her past experiences with such emotions I cried at some parts.
The love she found in herself and for her family though the Atonement helped me understand better the love of my Savior for me. She is honest and funny. She brings every experience good and bad back to the love and plan of our Father in Heaven. Her love for her family is strong and evident in the book. It is well written and it is an amazing read!
Thank you Nikki for your willingness to share your story with us! I really enjoyed reading this book. As a fan of her blog Nikki has a way of holding your interest and touching your heart. I read this book over a couple of days so I could take the whole story in and digest what I read. The best thing is that Nikki shows that we are all human and not above being loved. And now she shares this love with you.
Wanda Jackson - Fill My Cup Lord Lyrics
This book examines how English writers from the Elizabethan period to the Restoration transformed and contested the ancient ideal of the virtuous mean. As early modern authors learned at grammar school and university, Aristotle and other classical thinkers praised "golden means" balanced between extremes: courage, for example, as opposed to cowardice or recklessness. By uncovering the enormous variety of English responses to this ethical doctrine, Joshua Scodel revises our understanding of the vital interaction between classical thought and early modern literary culture. Scodel argues that English authors used the ancient schema of means and extremes in innovative and contentious ways hitherto ignored by scholars.

Fill My Cup, Lord
In the dark where we project Varda films on the wall At the red light where we kiss beneath the golden arch In the city square where we look through the scope at Jupiter's glow In Templehof Park where we Tuck our jeans into our socks and move through the pastel pink fields of wheat move through the pastel pink fields of wheat. Cause it's all that I want to do, to love you to witness together how clumsy we are how candied, how calcified how mesmerizing, how small to share in the cosmic joke to fall to a thousand floors and laugh til we're sore to take out and sort through the strange things we do. We bathe in the blood moon in Berlin make out in cathedrals, Montreal to Madrid In Fallingwater brush our skin across the bed The Masaya volcano paints our faces in red Now the landscape in your eye is a desert of defeat I want to stay but I'll turn to leave tonight we'll abandon all we share force a deep sleep and pretend we don't care I'd hate to put us up against yesterday I guess what can't be close must be far away. When we take our time When we take our time When we take our time And throw it by the wayside When we take our time When we take our time When we take our time And throw it by the wayside. Well on the stage of a church in a kiddie pool she and my dad were born again. I was an audience member beside my little sister and I didn't understand. You and I we both swing in and out of fear for the future.
This song so deeply connects with my inner yearnings. It reaches where material things cannot. When fearful, anxious or overwhelmed this song brings strength and allows me to surrender to God Almighty. I saw myself in d dream where we were in the examination hall writing mathematics so I was able to solve 30 questions out of questions and I look around no one could help me.
He told me the story of how this song came to be. He was in the office at Wesley, waiting for a couple who had an appointment to talk about their wedding. The couple was late.

Print-Friendly Lyrics. Like the woman at the well I was seeking for things that could not satisfy But then I heard the Savior calling Draw from this well that shall never run dry. Fill my cup, Lord; I lift it up, Lord Come and quench this thirsting of my soul Bread of Heaven, feed me till I want no more Fill my cup, fill it up and make me whole.

- Hola. Тишина.
